Wings | Aerial Horizon
A collaboration between Aerial Horizon and Darian Thomas for San Antonio's Luminaria Arts and Music Festival in 2016. Donnesh Amrollah performed with the Lyra Ladder (an apparatus of his own creation), and Joshua Grohman performed with the Aerial Rope. This composition was meant to evoke the sound of wings fluttering in chilled air, composed for violin ensemble and electronics. The live recording used for this video was performed by an ensemble of five violinists accompanied by electronics.
