Now:
Be exhausted. I’m exhausted. Move from defeat. We don’t shed our past selves. We grow around them. They will always be here. They look towards a void amongst voids. Is there freedom - Is there a simplicity and freedom in being trapped? Can we see the stars from in here...
Next level:
I’ve come to think of life as a spiral staircase - ever soaring, ever expanding.
We don’t shed our past selves. We grow around them. They will always be here. As they look towards a void amongst voids, which future will they see? Which future will they make for me…
When was the last time you let your inner selves feel the sun?
I’ve come to think of life as a spiral staircase - ever soaring, ever expanding.
We don’t shed our past selves. We grow around them. They will always be here. As they look towards a void amongst voids, which future will they see? Which future will they make for me…
When was the last time you let your inner selves feel the sun?

Up and out. I revisit the same problems as yester-me, but at a different altitude - and with wider self awareness. The problem may be the same, but I am different. I am further.
This piece is about growth, stagnancy, change, and memory. Even if the exact same musical material returns, you are in a different place. How does this apply to your life? Use that to color in this piece. Thank you for climbing the spiral with me.
